I don't remember seeing these fares before. I believe it may have just been released today, even though fare says it's created in late August. Plenty of destinations ex-JNB to SE Asia for ~US$1,800 and Australia as low as US$2,100. Connects in SIN on SQ on all legs, MI on secondary markets (eg. DVO, CEB, DPS, DRW, etc)

Also available from CPT. For example MNL seems to be about US$100 more.

Looks like this has gone... Google Flight still shows itineraries such as CPT-SIN-PEK rtn in Dec for just over ZAR28k (USD2k), but on SQ's website the price jumps to ZAR42k (USD3k) and up...

still some good fares to AUS available at least in January JNB-MEL-JNB on A350 & A380 rt for 40.500 ZAR/3k USD, 2,6K EUR (google shows 45k, but SQ web page shows less)

JNB-SYD-JNB also 40,500 ZAR rt A350 & A380 syd

EDIT 1: ADL and PER same fares around 3k USD (GF shows 2.1K USD, but it is again 40,500 ZAR on SQ web page)

EDIT 2: CPT-AUS-CPT for little more, incl SQ CPT-JNB and JNB-CPT on same A350 to and from SIN
