Not one you will see often and I am sure it won't appeal to many, but certainly to some. Fly from LHR to SIN on Biman, the national airline of Bangladesh.
LHR to SIN via ZYL and DAC for GBP 1177.
Not the worst cabin.
Not many deals out of LHR normally so maybe some daring people will use it.
Even more adventure can be had on Biman to Kathmandu, for the same price. If you just want to get to Dhaka you can do it for GBP 1004.

Not sure if anyone has flown on this airline, but "for the adventurous" is definitely a description I'd agree with. And no, no alliance memberships.

I actually read some pretty positive reviews of the 777 service to/from LHR. It's no SQ or QR but not held together with dental floss either.

Of course, you can do CX/BA/AY for US$2000, or sometimes less, starting from AMS and other Euro cities. I know that it takes some of the "adventure" out of the trip, but more use from those miles.

OK, this piques my curiosity. Would you mind providing a link? I found one on FT. Did you see something on a travel blog or in a magazine?

Link in the OP is one. Type Biman business class review into Google and you find the rest.
