EK ATH-DXB-SFO-DXB-ATH $5k First
Just booked ATH-DXB-SFO-DXB-ATH for $5ksh books into A class. Most dates available except July August return. 2 nice rides on the A380 in First! Qualifies for 45,000 tier miles, but I think I am better crediting Alaska?

I see, $4259 base fare AEEESGR1, looks like routing rules allow ATH-DXB-LAX/SEA/SFO with an optional extra sector SEA/LAX-SFO on VX or AS.
That's cool, like a free bonus VX F! (Books into D/C/J/W on VX, I think that's their highest class of service.)

I was able to construct it via LAX but couldn't get a connection to SFO to work. I noticed there isn't any first class ATH-DBX in July & August, but it is available for January to June and then in September.
