“In view of the event of Christmas Day we must remain vigilant about the continued threat we face from al-Qaida,” Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said in a statement after NBC News disclosed the new measures. “We are taking an additional set of aviation security precautions to protect the American people.”

furthrer-We had hope to be able to send much needed supplies, such as duct tape and diapers\nappys to the tragedy in Haiti but in-light of our inability to effectively prevent terrorist from flying and out of an abundance of safety all supplies of duct tape and diapers are now being shipped to airports across the country and among our allies, where passengers will be stripped, taped to their seats and nappied by friendly Flight Attendants.

we've all been nappized

Check On Baggage Question

I have been trying to get hold of TSA for more than a week now by phone and by e-mail because my question isn't addressed on their site. My son is flying out Sunday; can one take baseball cleats (metal cleats) on a carry-on ag or does he have to check them in. Anyone know where I can get this information?

By Sunday hand luggage will be banned and you'll have to change into an orange jumpsuit before boarding

Sadly, they take their sweet time in getting back to anyone. Last time I dealt with them over a complaint it was nearly three months before I heard anything an even then it was a computer generated auto response. Responding to the auto responded email did have some effect.

No cabin movement at all for flights overflying the US, regardless of origin and destination.

Yes they have! I believe the terrorists really do not care if the destroy anything. What they want to do is to destroy our freedoms and our way of life. By reacting to their attempts with greater and greater restrictions (ie reduction in personal freedom) the TSA is really assisting them in their ultimate goal.
