1. Sorry if I offended some by saying TSA when I just meant border services at the airport.

2. I am not here for a moral discussion on if I should bring the watch or not.

3. I'm going to pack it in the carry on once I arrive at the airport

4. Thank you

Are you concerned about transiting airport security, or about clearing customs? Either way, I don't think you have anything about which to be concerned.

A valuable item can be packed away in your carry on. I out my credit cards and cash in a pocket in my carryon. I make sure I push it along the belt, not make the TSA move it for me. After clearing my screening, I stand at the end of the tunnel and retrieve my items. I don't let anyone else near it unless they are TSA asking to look at the bag. Then don't let them out of your sight. Don't go out your shoes on while they check the bag for example

I would take the thing off and put it out of sight in a carry on.

This is why I wear a cheap watch.

With so many cameras in place, why would anyone steal from that area.

I'd honestly put it in the dish and send it through the X-Ray. Security through hiding in plain sight. TBPH, they'll probably think it's counterfeit and not actually worth stealing.

No moral discussion... I told you what I do.

The Mercedes is my daily driver... the BMW 7 series is stowed in
the garage for special occasions.
