Question APTC for US - when?

is there any timeline on availability in US?

http://travel.apec.org/apply.html

At this time, the United States does not process ABTC applications.

Recently passed legislation now authorizes the United States to issue the ABTC to eligible U.S. citizens. The cards would allow U.S. ABTC holders to receive expedited scheduling of visa interviews and access to fast-track immigration lanes at airports in other APEC economies.

CBP is working to implement the program as soon as possible. Once the ABTC production commences in the United States, information will be available at USA-ABTC at cbp.dhs.gov USA-ABTC at cbp.dhs.gov and http://www.businessmobility.org/key/usa.htm.

7.4. are bona fide business persons who may need to travel frequently on short term visits within the APEC region to fulfill business commitments.

Am I considered a bona fide business person? A bona fide business person is taken to mean a person who is engaged in the trade of goods, the provision of services or the conduct of investment activities. It specifically does not include:

8.1. the business person’s dependent spouse and children;

8.2. persons who wish to engage in paid employment or a working holiday;

8.3. Professional athletes, news correspondents, entertainers, musicians, artists or persons engaged in similar occupations.

There are already one or two threads on ABTC. DHS has been slow-going it.
