New Lima Airport Hotel?

Anyone have any information on the new hotel that is being built at the J.C. airport?

Sounds wonderful for all those flights that arrive around midnight!

Is it under construction yet? Do they have a proposed open date?

TIA

Found some info.

Scheduled to open in June 2007, adjacent to airport.

Wow. That will be nice! ^

I was through there in mid-April, it didn't look like it was going to be ready in June. But this is Peru so you never know.

Well, after some digging around, I discovered that the "Costa del Sol Ramada" opened just this week.

http://www.livinginperu.com/news/4055

The hotel doesn't seem to have made it to the Ramada webpage yet, but it is bookable through their toll free number. Reservations quoted a rate of $195 a night. (Or, a "special promotional rate" of $193.05 a night! ) I have sent an e-mail the Costa del Sol folks -- perhaps they offer more favorable rates. (UPDATE: Same rate through them too.)

I can't imagine forking out that much for a short stay at a LIM airport hotel unless someone else was paying the bill.

Thanks for the update. My family of 4 will be arriving around midnight in LIM in early August and have a 13:00 flight to AQP the next day - the hotel sounds like a nice option even if it is priced pretty high. Anyone see if there was a pool at this property?
