Seattle Eastside to SEATAC flat-rate taxi
We'll need to take a taxi from downtown Bellevue to SEA. I see that there is a flat-rate taxi from downtown Seattle to SEA for $40. What about downtown Bellevue?
The only thing I found was this:
http://www.eastsidetowncars.com/rates/
But this isn't taxi, and so I'm kind of nervous to take a "town car." Their rate is $50 flat, but I was wondering if there was a flat-rate taxi service that was also cheaper than this. I'd also like to avoid metered taxi if possible, as I know taxis can get very expensive in America.
Sorry if I come across as a bit ignorant. It's just that the only taxi experience I have in America in recent memory is in Boston, and that too was a while ago. Always used a flat-rate service to/from BOS, same company every single time.

Shuttle Express might work for you.

The scheduled service is pretty cheap.
If they don't have scheduled service, you could try the shared ride service. But in my experience, it's generally too expensive for a solo user. Well, it would still be a little cheaper than $50 to an eastside location, but you may have to wait at the airport for 30/45m while they try to fill up the van for the trip.
Another thing to look at is one of the rideshare companies like Uber/Lyft. I don't think they are flat rate, but will be cheaper than a taxi.

We're actually going to the airport. It'll be $38 for our family of four on the scheduled shuttle from downtown Bellevue, so that's not bad. Maybe we'll look into this, although I wouldn't want to do this if it ends up taking like 45min just to get to the airport while picking up people here and there.
I priced out their shared ride option and got $54, which seems like a lot.
I yelped taxi under Bellevue and it only brought up two taxi companies (Right Way Taxi, Bellevue Airport Taxi). 1 only has 1 review, the other has 0 review.

Most of the limo services, e.g. http://seattleexclusivelimo.com/ - will charge $50 - $60 from Bellevue to the airport. Eastsideforhire uses a lot of Priuses, which obviously won't work for your party. The limo companies mostly use Lincoln towncars which are big enough, as long as somebody doesn't mind riding in front. A metered taxi will be a lot more.

http://www.eastsidetowncars.com ?
They're $50 flat rate. But if you're saying that the metered taxi will be a lot more (which is what I feared) and if there's no flat-rate taxi option, then maybe I will have to go with these folks.

And while Newcastle is "right next to" Bellevue, that doesn't mean the fares will be the same I checked on Uber's website. Fare estimate from the Hilton Bellevue (downtown Bellevue) to SEA is $33-44 for UberX. The only guidance I could find on Uber's website re: making sure the vehicle was large enough for your party is to communicate with the driver AFTER you request pickup. Seems like a hassle.
So go with the limo.
