Aeromexico JFK-MEX

Guys

Is there a big difference in the comfort level between the 737-800 and 787 Dreamliner on coach. I'm flying JFK-MEX and see AM409 departing 1:50pm flies a 787 but AM405 with a 9am departure flies the 737-800. In fact, AM409 seems to be the only flight for JFK-MEX flying the 787

I prefer a morning flight but if only the Dreamliner has the lower cabin pressure feature which leaves you fresher after a journey, I'll rather fly that

Thx

Without question the Dreamliner is the nicer plane... that said I dont think you will really have that noticeable an experience with the difference in cabin pressure.

A month ago I noted that AM409 was a 737 max through April and then reverted to a 787 in May. Now I see the max remains and the 787 seems to be doing tons of CUN-MEX runs. Anyone know if the 787 will resume JFK runs soon? It seems travel is picking back up...

Just noticed this change in equipment as well. I intentionally picked the 787 flight from JFK-MEX for travel this summer. It’s a bummer that it’s been swapped to a 737 MAX. Bleh.

Don't make any assumptions about equipment when booking at the moment. I prefer the 787, for more room, etc. They are listing the 787 for there 7:15 MEX-JFK route (where it was offered traditionally, and returning back to MEX on your 1:50). It is normally the only 787 flights on the route, with all others being 737s (8s/9s) However about 4 weeks before flight they switched it out to a 737Max (which they describe simply as 737-800)
