Recent AM 787 MEX-EZE business class reviews?

Only DL low awards to EZE is through MEX on AM.

This is for next fall/winter.

I found this trip report thread to be useful but the MEX-EZE leg was on the old 767, which he didn't like:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/trip-...ess-class.html

However, the DL site shows an AM30, which is listed as a 787.

I'm flying this segment in two weeks, but it looks like my flight is also a 767. Are you sure they fly 787s in this route yet?

Hmm, I was searching for October or November.

So either they're indicating it will be a 787 by that time or it's a mistake.

According to the info I've seen (and which is also posted at airlineroute.net), AM has indicated they'll start 787 service on MEX-EZE as of April 1.

Thanks for the info. I didn't realize they hadn't changed over yet.

Hopefully someone will report on the experience after they switch.

Just booked EZE-MEX-LAX-SEA-GEG in Clase Premier for the first leg (AS F for the rest) for 28 May using AS miles. It is operated on the new 787-8.

I can post a report when that happens.

Thanks looking forward to it, though I decided to buy a ticket there for next month rather than redeem an award.

Maybe MEX will have 787s on other US to South America flights which are available as DL awards.

AM is also about to begin flying the 787 to SCL. Looks like Monday (Jan 19th) is the first flight. And I think GIG 787 service is scheduled to begin in October.

AM commenced 787 service on the MEX-SCL route on Jan 12th. 787 flights on the MEX-EZE route will indeed begin in April and MEX-GIG will see the 787 twice weekly starting on October 27th.

Thanks for the clarification. I knew SCL 787 service was to start this month, but wasn't certain of the date. Kind of interesting having both airlines -- AM and LA -- flying the route with 787's. (And AM is matching LAN's current MEX-SCL fare sale.)

AM currently offers 3 weekly 787 flights on the route; alongside 4 weekly 767 flights. By May, AM will deploy the 787 up to 5x weekly on the route. (LA no longer codeshares with AM on this route).
