First and millionth thread

Hi,

Do you know who posted the 1.000.000th thread? Just curious.
Also, is the very first thread still there?

Thanks,
Pogopossum

According to the URL, that thread is the 1,082,519th thread.

I tried to find the one-millionth by editing the URL, but it seems you must know the forum in which the thread appears or the edited URL won't operate.

Yeah, I think that is due to the merging and deletion of threads. The official million thread mark was only crossed a few days ago. That would mean over 80,000 new threads have been created in a few days if you went by the URL.

The way I figured out that thread was by subtracting the current number of posts according to the front page counter (1,000,004 at the time I did it) from the newest thread # immediately after the million thread mark was crossed. This gave the number of merged/deleted threads or whatever that skews the thread numbers. I then added that number to 1,000,000 to find the the post number of the thread that actually caused the counter on the front page to go to 1,000,000.

A thread is a thread is a thread, even if deleted or moderated out!
There is no excuse for not counting every chad (I meant thread).

Oh, one of those seeking equal rights for spammer threads huh?

Frankly it's my worst part of every day when I stroll around FlyerTalk and can see the deleted spam threads in my admin view. I just can't give in to equal rights for those that attempt to clutter this pristine space on the Internet.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
