1800 HOTELS in Trouble ?
1 am unable to post a link but it seems 1800hotels.ie is bankrupt. It is blaming 2 suppliers.If you go to the site you will see a message. I hope not too many FT members have been caught

I know nothing of this, but often these big companies will have separate operations in different countries. So while one subsidiary may be DOA, the other parts of the company would be fine.
Plus, if you book using your credit card, you should have reasonable protection.
The 1800hotels.com website seems to be operating normally.

Looks fine to me. Only think I see is, "Our apologies, we are currently performing system maintenance that will affect hotel availability."
I do see a bankruptcy message on the IE site. I'd guess that you are redirected to the .com site based on the country your IP says you're in. Use a proxy and try logging into the .com site.
