Can anyone who has statyed at both tell me the key differences? Pro and cons of each? I'm trying to decide where to spend 3 nights in August. Thanks.

Grand is MUCH better. The non-grand one is like your 3-star casino hotel in Vegas and full of tour groups.

Neither Try the Langham; great service! IMO the Skycity properties are hit-or-miss at best.

Langham runs ~ $350 NZ - but is in a great location as well.

We enjoyed our stay at the Auckland Langham property. --Just did a quick rate check on the hotel's website... lower rates possible for standard rooms with breakfast included.

Since you are based in LAS, the Skycity is like Excalibur, Grand is like the Mirage, and Langham is like the Four Seasons. Does that put it into perspective?
