I see that several WP Mall stores are running a promo of awarding miles on gift card purchases. So if you shop at some of these stores anyway, even their bricks and mortar counterparts, you can purchase a gift card through he WP Mall of the smallest allowable amount at each store. In most cases gift cards ship free.

Barnes & Noble min $10
Borders.com min $5
Kodak Gallery min $5

Nothing here either for two accounts that ordered 10.00 items in February. I've given up on all the airline portals and am sticking to Fatwallet ,as the miles almost never post without intervention. Same thing happened to me with the Delta shopping bonus-nothing has posted.

Quite frankly that's just bad luck, while I've had occasional problems with the airlines, maybe moreso than FatWallet, Ebates, adn the like, it's hasn't been that bad. iTunes for example is pretty good with these types of promos I've found.

As for this promo itself, 1,000 bonus miles for any purchase up to 10 is pretty darn rich!

I'm another one who has bad experiences with airline portals, mostly NWA... but will definitely give this promotion a try! Wonder how quickly the miles will post after purchase?

So will 10 $5 transactions at the Borders result in 10 1k bonuses?

$50 for 10k miles isn't bad....

I wonder if multiple transactions from one merchant counts as once or multiple times.

Each separate merchant earns only one bonus: read the terms in OP's link:

"The maximum number of Bonus Miles awarded is 10,000, and you'll need to shop at 10 or more different merchants to receive all 10,000 Bonus Miles."

This explains why WP Mall was not included in the WP Pile on the Miles promotion, unlike Delta's similar promotion.

Having it as a separate entity is even better, as you can earn bonus miles with multiple Mall stores. At Delta, the Mall only counts as one partner, no matter how many merchants you purchase from.

And thanks to CaptainMiles for the headsup about the ability to purchase gift cards and earn miles. This provides a lot more flexibility when looking for low-cost options for purchases.

I just ordered a digital copy of an audiobook from Barnes & Noble. It cost me a total of 90 cents after tax.

Hopefully that will work for 1000 miles...now to find more cheap stuff.

That's 0.03 cent per banked mile. Nice book run.
