Interesting routing to Bergen...

Looking up tickets for a potential trip to Norway in March...
One of the options that comes up on nwa.com is below. I follow it to Oslo, but then I have no idea what's next!!

Also, delta.com does not even recognize BGO as a possible destination, despite the KL flights (and NWA codeshare) that goes there from AMS!

If this is your first time to Bergen, you might check out the Norway in a Nutshell tour between Oslo & Bergen.

Exit OSL to rail station (being sure to stop at inbound duty free to stock up),
airport train to Oslo S (Senstralstasjon), then find your Nutshell train to Bergen.

Too bad it's the same flight number. Think of the miles (if Wideroe's Flyveselskap flights earn miles, that is)

Hahaha...
I don't think that they do. But the scenery could be SPECTACULAR (or cloudy ).

I think the term "puddle jumper" was invented for that flight

Wow... That is crazy. Nwa.com priced out DTW-AMS-BGO for me.

Basically that Widerøe flight heads to the west coast & then does some puddle jumping to Bergen. Sunset is around 7 p.m. (about when you finally reach Bergen), so the scenery should be pretty nice ...

... if it's not cloudy.

No no, it only rains twice a week in Bergen. Once for three days and once for four.

Haha, you would probably wanna "force" nwa.com to route you directly from AMS to BGO. This can easily be done by selecting multiple stops along the way, the first routing being your origin to AMS, the next being AMS-BGO.

However, it usually comes up right. You do want to avoid Widerøe if you can, unless you've got a thing for small turboprops.

Yes, the direct option came up also...I thought that this may be interesting for the scenery, but then again, it may be 3 miserable hours on a bumpy turboprop...

Not possible to earn miles on domestic routes in Norway due to competition regulation

Another question, did a 11 minute connection in MSP really come up on nwa.com? That is way short, and quite impossible, particularly for Dom>Int, with the "international security check" and all...
