Thank god they don't. I want competent, non-intrusive service when I fly, not "Ted Mack's Original Amateur Hour." Audience participation? No thanks. Hip hop? No thanks. A pre-departure beverage? Yes, please!

I find competent, non-intrusive service on Southwest more so than any other American carrier.

Then you should fly Southwest. I don't consider "clap along" hip hop boarding announcements non-intrusive.
