Best Way from Boston to Manchester Airport by Public Transport?
I looked at the airport website, and the only option shown is a long distance bus to Vermont that stops at the airport a few times a day. Given that the airport has Boston in its name, it's hard to believe that there is not another reasonable public transport option.
So, the question - what's the best way from Boston to Manchester airport by public transport?

It's free but runs only once every two hours (the webpage refers to this as "high frequency" service.) It is also operated on a "first come, first serve basis", which is a bit scary since from the photo it is not a full size bus.

It's interesting that they couldn't coax a private bus operator into running this service for profit. There's got to be a market for this in the Woburn - Peabody - Andover - Lowell - Lawrence zone.
I think it's silly, though, to run the thing on two-hour headways during daylight hours, but continue all night... who's going to turn up in Sullivan Square at 1:30am or 3:30am to ride up to MHT?

Vermont Transit operates a commercial service from Boston to Mancher Airport (with stops in Lowell, MA and Nashua, NH). Buses leave from the South Station bus station in Boston, above the train/subway station.

Friendly bump...
Now that the shuttle isn't free (and the website doesn't have any explaination), and Vermont Transit has shut down (and the Greyhound only operates once per day at a crappy time), any other suggestions?
Train to Manchester and then taxi to the airport?
Thanks

Also, I searched on the Greyhound website and came up with 4x per day (at least on a weekday traveling Boston-Manchester).

Yeah... The first greyhound is 10am (sucks for a 11am flight).
I called the company, and it's $19, but if you're at Sullivan, you have to call and reserve in advance (with credit card and flight #), otherwise the van doesn't stop there.
They also anticipate a 90 minute transfer time between Sullivan Square and MHT.

There's no train to Manchester. Maybe in five to seven years:

When you see Boston-Manchester train service mentioned, they mean Manchester, Massachusetts.
