Cars at BUR
Burbank/Bob Hope Airport is a fairly small, non-Aisle location. The "Emerald Booth" in the lot is staffed all day weekdays and until early afternoon Saturdays; at other times, you'll have to go to the counter at the Terminal B baggage claim area.
With a full-size reservation, I was offered the choice between a Chevy Malibu and a Mazda 6. Didn't see anything particularly unusual parked on the lot, beyond several Priuses and an Altima hybrid (well, this is California, after all).

Reservation for a full-size, picking up Friday 11/26 at 9:00 A.M.: the booth attendant rummaged through his basket of keys and gave me the choice of a Camry, Impala, or Charger. Picked the Charger, figuring it had the best chance of having active satellite radio -- it did, plus 11,900 miles on the clock.

I wish BUR had a better selection. I know it's a small airport. It is my "local" National and I rent there frequently even when I'm not flying (or flying out of another airport like ONT or SNA). It's always a crapshoot; if I need the car for a longer period or a longer road trip, I'll put up with the hassle of going to LAX for a lot more choices.

National/Alamo and the other current on-airport rental agencies, as well as two that are currently off-airport, have all signed on to be tenants in the new BUR rental car/intermodal transportation facility -- construction is set to start soon and continue until December 2012.
No word if there will be an Aisle setup for National/Alamo, but it should at least allow a larger selection.
The bad news is that the PFC is going to increase when the new facility opens, but you could probably have guessed that.

With a midsize SUV reservation, picking up at about 4:00 PM on a Saturday, was offered a Nissan Rogue, Nissan Pathfinder, or Kia Sorrento. Opted for the Rogue, which turned out to be a 2011 model with about 13,500 miles on the odometer.
As I walked out to the Rogue, I didn't see anything particularly interesting parked in any of National's spaces.
I'd originally made the reservation for a 6:00 PM pickup Friday, but called the National counter at about 1:30 PM Friday to change the time (couldn't change on the website, since the contract had already been printed). When I picked up the car Saturday, the counter agent (not the person I'd spoken to Friday) noted that my rental contract had never been changed and mildly chastised me, saying something to the effect of "You should have told them to make sure the contract was changed." That left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth, because I thought that would have been implied if someone's calling to delay their pickup by 22 hours.
At any rate, he did manage to give me the same rate on the new contract, so there's not really much of a complaint to be made here.

Fullsize reservation last November around 9pm gave me several options, a Crown Vic, Ford Escape and Buick Regal. I took the Regal and was very pleased, fairly luxurious, not a bad little car.
It is a small, non-"isle" location as others have said but they still give you a choice. I avoid LAX like the plague so its a decent trade-off. I am planning another trip this week and am looking forward to see what I end up with!

Had the pick of any color Impala, a Kia Sorrento or a VW Touareg with a midsize reservation at 1:00PM on 4/4/13. Took the Touareg and am underwhelmed. Maybe it is because I came here straight from LAS where I had a loaded Buick Lacrosse...the VW is bottom of the line stock as far as I can tell. Hell, even the FM radio sounds like bad 60's AM with this set up.
No Aisle or Exec Selection here as has been noted but the new consolidated facility is going up now. You can see the makings of it from the National booth; just turn around at the counter and look past Avis and Hertz. I confirmed with the counter that the new facility will have EA and ES when it opens in 2014.

Did you see if they had any Premium or Luxury cars? I always rent a Premium or Luxury vehicle from SBA (Santa Barbara) but they said they didn't have any Luxury vehicles today and would call one to be brought over from another airport. I'm assuming LAX but Burbank is slightly closer. I don't know of any National locations closer than that (about 1.5 hour drive). Santa Barbara usually has a bunch of Premiums and a Mercedes or two. The cars all seem to be pretty decent models there. Not many Impalas or Malibus.

Any recent updates for this location? Has a new car rental facility been completed with Aisle service for National?

Has anyone been here recently? Have a luxury reserved in a couple weeks, and while I can always swap out at LAX if I'm not happy with the offerings I'd be curious as to what's being spotted here.
