Cars at HHHT01 - Hilton Head SC Airport
HHHT01 has to be the longest National airport code I've ever seen. It's the Hilton Head Regional? Airport- I was originally planning to rent a 1 way to SC, but canceled at the last minute. Ended up driving around HHHT01 to get a look at their aisle.
HHHT01 appears to comprise only 1 palm-tree studded terminal, and the National lot is directly outside the terminal.
Nothing special at the lot- there were several Malibus, Impalas, Honda Accord, and possibly a Ford F-150?!

T01 has always denoted an airport location ime. Those of us whose humour remains in the ninth grade might get a giggle out of the location code for Fargo, North Dakota...

I picked up a car here a couple of weeks ago. Had an midsize reservation and was offered the choice of a Durango or an Explorer. I chose the Explorer, which turned out to be pretty nice. It was a Limited model.

This is my "home" airport. Rented full size today, I have executive status. Given a 2020 Malibu with 40,000 miles on it.
I normally rent from an HLE that's closer to my home and they give free upgrades, I'll definitely continue to use them instead.

Rented again last week. Only car available at scheduled pickup time was a minivan. Opted to wait 15-20 minutes for another car. Was given a 2021 Camry with 12,000 miles. Desk agent acted like they were doing me a huge favor with the one-class upgrade, despite me being executive.

Rented 2/7/22 around 10 AM. Reserved full-size, was given a 2022 Kia Sorento with 4800 miles. Inquired about other options since I didn't want to waste fuel, but the only other thing they had was a Kia Forte. I kept the Sorento.
Bare-bones SUV, doesn't even have automatic climate control. Most disappointingly, no adaptive cruise-control.

I had a Kia Forte right before the pandemic, from Budget, nearly new. The gas mileage was also disappointing. I remember something like 26 mpg, even though it was mostly highway driving for me. Of course, gas was cheaper then, but I expected better nonetheless.

Rented Wednesday 3/16/22. Reserved full-size, received a Ram 1500 with 31,000 miles. Not ideal, considering I'll be driving a few hundred miles on the highway.
The only other car they had in the lot was a Pacifica. Hertz seemed to be much better stocked.
