Renting under my contract with another driver picking up
My employer has a contract employees can use for personal use rentals at National. I'm able to add additional drivers to the reservation for free as well. Can one of my additional drivers pick up the car without me being present? I will be meeting my family at the destination a few days later.

Great question, but my money is on NO. Being an additional driver is different than being the one to Pick the car up at the facility. If this is possible than nobody is paying attention.

You will need to go to a National location (don't think it has to be the one you originally rented from) to add an additional driver.

Thanks for all the quick responses. I called National and confirmed that my situation isn't possible. The primary renter needs to be present at pickup, regardless of who is listed as an additional driver - so I can't have someone else pick up the car for me. The primary renter's name also has to match the National account and credit card - so we can't benefit from my executive elite status.
