Cars at GSO
Used the Emerald "booth" at GSO over the weekend and got great service.
Here are the types of cars they had available in the aisle:
Malibu/Impalas
Camry
Sonata
I went with the Sonata and prepaid the fuel. It was extremely fuel efficient, and I used less gas than I expected. When I returned it, the customer service rep changed my prepay option to a half-tank. Outstanding!
I'll report on my EA experience at CAK after I visit there later this month.

Cars on 1/17/12:
-Half dozen or so of the standard Malibu/Impala mix
-1 Ford F-150 crew cab
-1 GMC Yukon XL
-1 Nissan Armada
-1 Chevy Suburban (very well-equipped, which I took)
-a few assorted vans
Better selection than many smaller airports I've seen. Must have just been lucky.

I was at National at GSO a few weeks ago. They actually had a very small Executive Aisle under the deck, I asked the attendant about the size and she said that they are trying to build up the selection at the moment. All they had in Executive was 2 Impala's and a Chrysler 200. Sort of disappointed with the selection bit ended up with one of the Imp's. Talk about a boring car!
I was there on a Sunday.

Was at GSO this morning. They did have a small EA and ES even though it is not advertised online. The ES had a Toyota Sienna, a BMW X5, several Avalons and Impalas. EA was all Impalas, Malibus and one Camry. I tried to take the BMW, but they wouldn't let me take on the one way. Took the Avalon instead. It was just a 3 hour rental to CLT anyway, so I wasn't hurt to bad.

Checked out the EA/ES at GSO last Thursday evening and last Sunday morning. Not many cars on Thursday, but on Sunday, there were quite a few SUVs available. EA had Jeep Compasses and Patriots and Chevy Equinoxes. ES had a Chrysler Town & Country and even a Buick Enclave!

I think it was a dark gray one. Looking forward to your report next week.

I used a web site comparison site www.mybestcarhire.com which compares best prices and deals for the cheapest car hire from leading car rental websites for free.
Great deals and quick response. Over 6000 locations to choose from.
Great site, keep it in mind for easy car rentals.

Ugh
They didn't have anything in stock, said the L car had mechanical issues. They did drop me back to a mid-size rate and gave me the a new Suburban - not that I needed something that size but hey, it was better than anything else they had.
