Miles/points for Haiti donations master thread

I searched for a thread that captures all the offers, and did not find one.
Not sure where to start it, but here goes. The following are what comes up searching flyertalk, plus one that came in my email.

AAdvantage

Starwood

Spirit Airlines

e-miles offers 100 points for donating to Feed the Children and says it goes to Haiti relief.
edited 1-18-2010 to add: Soles4Souls and World Emergency Relief just appeared on e-miles with similar offers.

further edit: see post #28 on the second page of this thread for an excellent list.

Applaud AA for offering miles for your $ donation.^

on some hotel programs on charging high amount of points for small $ cash checks they would sent to Red Cross. Essentially these hotel programs make out from this tragic event (release their liabilities with much lower costs.)

Exactly what I was thinking.. if anything, they should take a note out of AA's book. Overachieving airlines would offer both methods. (Donations for points and to donate points)

Might be only me, but I find mixing together donating Miles/Points and getting Miles/Points for a money donation pretty confusion, especially as the header suggests only the latter.

Good point. Perhaps a moderator could rework the title when they move this to S.P.A.M., which seems to be where they are moving this sort of topic.

no confirmation from Red Cross?

I made a donation earlier today through the AA link to the Red Cross, and still have not received an email confirmation, which is needed to obtain the miles. On the other hand, they may be swamped with donations. Anyone getting the confirmation?

Choice program is an EXISTING option all the time. Last year I donated 4000 Choice pts that would expire worthless anyway.

SPG's 4000 pts for $50 is a reasonable valuation.

HHonor and MR are shameful on their valuation of the donation checks.

It takes quite long to get the confirmation last 2 times I donated.
