New M&M award chart from 03JAN2011 in C & F [rumour confirmed]
Rumours are coming in that there will be an enhancement in the award chart from 01.01.2011 for C & F travel?
Details are sketchy right now ... but it looks like a 20% devaluation.

HON Hotline confirmed after searching their database:

The only award I ever changed was issued 2 days before outbound so I didn't notice which original date they referenced.
P.S.: I think the short notice makes sense if they want to combat people booking early to avoid this inflationary enhancement.

Somebody already got or seen the December-issue of the "LH exclusive"-magazine?
Usually, enhancements are first published there.

Suddenly the BMI miles I burned last week are worth even more than the Miles and Less...
With a bit of luck this comes coupled with reduced earnings for more booking classes...

...I'm glad I heard this before I decided to go for some M&M miles.

This surprises me as well. I got the magazine last week. Only went through it for a few moments (as usual, mainly checking the M&M part towards the last pages), but did not see any publishing for this.

+ same day award 'penalty' of 10k has been removed
- the 3 k discount to book regular X awards online is abolished
- C/F redemption chart has been reworked. For example:
Europe – North America (Business Class / First Class):
Previously 90.000 / 140.000, Now 105.000 / 170.000
Europe – S America (Business Class / First Class):
Previously 120.000 / 180.000, Now 135.000 / 210.000
Europe – S. Africa (Business Class / First Class):
Previously 90.000 / 140.000, Now 105.000 / 170.000
Europe – SEA or Far East (Business Class / First Class):
