This is a good one in August if you can tolerate flying in Economy Minus. Only two seats left on the EZE flights.

Total price: USD 629.80

Fri, Aug 22, 2008 - San Francisco, CA (SFO) to Buenos Aires, Argentina (EZE) via IAD United 0914/United 0847

Mon, Aug 25, 2008 - Buenos Aires, Argentina (EZE) to San Francisco, CA (SFO)
via IAD United 0846/United 0285

Sadly doesn't seem to work from TPA, or else I'd definitely go for this. Thanks anyway!

Can't you get to IAD from TPA for relatively cheap?

Same feeling here. I flew transpac in May and June, so now for July/August will try to book trip to EZE

The L fare when I click through drops from $709 to $629 !
If you are 1k or can get swu, it should be upgradeable ?!

No SWU on L fare, I am afraid. Only W or higher.

Well yes, but it still tacks on more costs. For $600ish I would definitely do it, but when we're looking at extra costs, I'm tempted at just doing a Business award sometime.

The cost of flights from out/into Europe (NCE for me) is totally outrageous at this time of the year... It's Summer holidays time they charge Big Bucks for flights to the U.S. whether UA, LH, LX.

Folks, this looks like a mistake fare to me. Similar L fare from the opposite direction has a whopping $450 YQ charge and all other fares 'V, W etc' have the surcharge also.

Let's please not try to talk to uncle TED about this anyone

Would they add surcharges to those who are ticketed to EZE at these low fares after ticketing is completed whatever surcharges these are?

I think the YQ has been lopped off...

When you plug this into ITA, you get AA fares around $1000. YQ would explain the difference.

First, thanks to OP for this find! ^

Second, I must say that I am thankful I don't need to be seriously considering doing this. Got in my MRs during DEQM flying domestically, so I didn't have to burn any SWUs. Actually it's a only a good/not great deal out of NYC...ex-SFO, of course, is another matter entirely. I'm seeing $609 AI for certain dates in July. Yikes!

Third, all the seat maps are showing the new C for IAD-EZE. Has the new bird even flown this route yet?

I'm going for Columbus Day weekend. Oct 9 to Oct 13. Anyone care to join me? We could make a DO out of it.

I'm considering doing it just for an Argentine steak dinner at Don Mario's in Palermo! ^

I have another one USD 609.80 AI. If anybody is interested there seems to be quite a number of empty seats on all flights including E+ which helps greatly if no SWUs. I have put it on hold in my M+ acct. until tomorrow night.

Is anyone in for next weekend (July 18-20)? I have an itinerary on hold, and I'm trying to decide whether or not I should pull the trigger.
