[PREM FARE GONE] Qr: Cmb-dfw rt ~$1840

Seeing this rate through November 2016.

Not sure how helpful it is to anyone, but it is awfully low and racks up a bunch of RDM/EQM/PDQs on AA.

Still way more than the Ramadan special which included all the A350 flights.

The 2 month max stay kills it for me. Was trying to use this to get home from SE Asia to Atlanta and then go back next summer to the Maldives. Not enough vacation time to do another trip this year. Bummer.

Anybody have any experience with throwing away the return leg on QR? I can book a mixed leg trip with the return in coach for $1100 or so, but it looks like they charge a noshow penalty if I wanted to just throw away the return.

I always thought no show is charged only if you want the airline to reissue / retime the ticket for use at a later stage after the flight has happened... which in your case is not?

You can throw it away. Plans change. You lose the rest of the ticket and that's it.

Thumbs up

Thanks Op and benzemalyonnais! Just booked CMB-DOH-BOS-DOH-CMB for $1294. Not sure yet how I will get to/from CMB (am based in the DC area) but can figure that out later ^

Yeah I have thrown away at QR segment. Even had the hotel booked. Last minute space on JAL F opened up and I just flew that home never called Qatar nothing happened.

ex-CMB cheap(er) fares seem to have lots of restrictions in dates/max stay/min stay/how far out you can book. They seem to use these for short term inventory management, so I have found you sometimes just have to wait around to dates closer to travel.

QR RJR4P3PE: VALID FOR TRAVEL COMMENCING ON/AFTER 01AUG16 AND ON/ BEFORE 31MAR17.

QR RJLKP3NE: VALID FOR TRAVEL COMMENCING ON/BEFORE 31MAR17. ALL TRAVEL MUST BE COMPLETED BY MIDNIGHT ON 31MAR17.

QR IJLKP1NE: VALID FOR TRAVEL COMMENCING ON/BEFORE 15DEC16. ALL TRAVEL MUST BE COMPLETED BY MIDNIGHT ON 15DEC16.

There are some similarly priced DL/KL fares with even more restrictive dates:
DL ZPRLK: UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED VALID FOR TRAVEL COMMENCING ON/AFTER 01NOV 16 AND ON/ BEFORE 15DEC 16.
