What is the first day in December that you are available? Once past about the 10th, prices are higher so may cost in the $1300 to $1500 range.

I'm on business trip to Oregon & Colorado from 12/1-6, then Maryland from 12/9-11, with meetings in between - After the 11th through y/e my calendar is very flexible - maybe tag something on back of Maryland trip (?) probably flying in and out of Baltimore (?)

Still departing from BWI? Here's one approach, but has risks if anything goes wrong and I don't think I would recommend it. Pick eariiest arrival on west coast so that you can immediately turn around and get back the same evening of the day that you left.
BWI-SLC-SEA-SLC-BWI same day return 12/14 is $298, 5514 miles.
BWI-DTW-SEA-ATL-BWI same day return 12/15 is $298, 5185 miles.
BWI-DTW-SEA-MSP-BWI same day return 12/16 is $402, 5001 miles.
BWI-DTW-LAS-MSP-BWI same day return 12/17 is $353, 4381 miles.

VLD-ATL-NRT-BKK-NRT-LAX-ATL-VLD out 12/14 return 12/17 is $1601, 20316 miles.
If you can go on the 13th (return 15th), MCO-SIN-MCO is $1305 and RSW-SIN-RSW is $1184.
I use google.com/flights and this mileage calculator.

If you've never been there, I'd go to the Grand Palace and take a ferry on the river. Depends on your interests, there is a lot to see and do in Bangkok.
