NYC Mileage run/Challenge advice
Just got the following status challenge and trying to figure out what to do:
AAdvantage Executive Platinum status
Exec Platinum for 3 months and during those
3 months, fly and earn 25,000 AAdvantage elite-qualifying points on select airlines to extend your Executive Platinum status through February 28, 2017 and receive 50,000 bonus miles
AAdvantage Platinum status
Receive Platinum status for 3 months plus 12 500-mile upgrades starting on the date you select
During those 3 months, fly and earn 12,000 AAdvantage elite-qualifying points on select airlines to extend your Platinum status through February 28, 2017 and receive 50,000 bonus miles
AAdvantage Gold status
Receive Gold status through February 28, 2017 plus 6 500-mile upgrades just for registering
Earn 10,000 bonus miles by flying and earning 5,000 AAdvantage elite-qualifying points on select airlines between the date you receive your status and December 30, 2015
Anyone have any advice on what you think I should do and any ideas of good mileage runs for getting to either the 12k EQPs or the 25k EQPs for the plat and exec plat levels?

Maybe you should have the club sandwich tomorrow for lunch.
It depends on your travel pattern and what you want to do, really. How much money do you want to throw at the status, can you combine it with vacation or whatsoever.
If you want 25k EQP from deep-discounted Y tickets, you're looking at 50.000 miles in the air. That's approximately four times central europe to the U.S. west coast connecting on the east coast return. So that's ~4*40h = 160h.

***EDIT - Not sure how to delete this post, but was thinking EQM and not EQP so this doesn't work*** Sorry!
Not sure on your budget or if you are looking for same day turn mileage runs or open to some trips, but a few days to Hong Kong can get you 19k miles, then you can easily do some cheap cost to cost trips to get the last 6k.
LGA-DFW-HKG-DFW-LGA = $783 and 19k miles = 4.1cpm
