A route with EXACTLY 25,000 miles RT - LOL :)

Just thought it was interesting

Travel Route:
Dubai Intl Arpt, Dubai, AE (DXB) to
Hong Kong Intl, Hong Kong, HK (HKG) to
Vancouver Intl Arpt, Vancouver, BC (YVR) to
John F Kennedy Intl, New York City, NY (JFK)

One Way Distances:
Distance 12500 miles 20170 km


Round Trip Distances:
Distance 25000 miles 40340 km

Gcmap thinks the route is 12525 miles. I wonder why the discrepancy?

It would REALLY suck to rely on this to get Gold status only to discover the airline credited it at 12499 miles per leg.

What will really suck is when you only receive mileage for DXB-HKG-JFK as the HKG-YVR-JFK flights are one flight number.
