DL: LAX-EZE $477 all in: IT'S NOW BOOKABLE!

An ITA search yielded this fare and availability would seem to be plenty, but wasn't able to price it anywhere.

Edit to add: after several hours, the fare was loaded on all booking engines (Delta, Travelocity, etc). Lots of availability for now ^ .

@ moderator: could you please change the title of the topic to reflect that it is now bookable ?

The fare code is KEA00TR, which prices at $607+ in travelocity. Can someone explain the discrepancy?

Hmm... odd. This forum's favourite travel provider, Travelocity, does price it out at the $477 figure (plus $5 fee). Even delta.com doesn't have this fare.

Maybe it's an old fare? Same fare basis - just a different base fare ($399 vs. $549).

Delta has it now!

This is a nice price. I just booked a trip for early may. I didn't try any exotic routing, but it's 13,900 miles RT. .034 per mile before any types of elite bonuses.

$477.65 total, RT.

This isn't the first time that ITA loads a fare before any booking engine. Way to go ITA! ^

Looks like it is pricing with SCL-MDZ on LA, but the routing allows for a number of possibilities:

Code:
ROUTING C002 FROM LAX-DL-SLC-DL-CHI/CVG/DFW-DL-
                      ATL-DL-MIA-DL-BUE-
                FROM LAX-DL-SLC-DL-CHI/CVG/DFW-DL-
                      ATL-DL-MIA-DL-BUE-
                FROM LAX-DL-SLC-DL-CHI/CVG/DFW-DL-
                      ATL-DL-MIA-DL-SCL-DL/YY-BUE-
                FROM LAX-DL-SLC-DL-CHI/CVG/DFW-DL-
                      ATL-DL-MIA-DL-SAO-YY-BUE-
                  TO YY-MDZ*

odd, when I first looked at this I could swear I saw it as a non stop from ATL, hmmmm
Although, this makes the cost/mile really attractive.

it's K fare so 100% eqm on CO, 100% plt bonus
That's what a bit over 13,000 BIS miles(.036)
and 26,000 miles(.018)

Ive got a nice MR on hold using Delta Dollars. I have two seperate res...

May 5 MCI-SLC-LAX

May 6 LAX-ATL-EZE
May 8/9 EZE-ATL-LAX

May 9 LAX-SLC-MCI

The LAX-EZE portion was $477 all in and the MCI-LAX was $208.13 all in. I have a voucher for $400 and one for $200 so all I will pay is $85.13 plus the $10 for each res to be processed at the airport.

Total: $105.13 for 16,800 miles x .25 Silver Medallion Bonus = 21,000 miles ^

And more, assuming that last EZE-ATL or ATL-LAX gets you Gold, which it should, right? You'll earn 100% bonus miles on the flight that makes you gold, though the system will take 1-2 months to retroactively credit them.

The best part about this is that there's no advanced purchase requirement (!) and 2-day or first Sunday minimum stay! You could leave on a Saturday and come back on Sunday night without having to stay anywhere. Don't suppose there's too much of an advantage, but you could route LAX-SLC-ORD-ATL-EZE also.

Actually, the will be start of my re-qualifying period. I achieved SIlver last year so this is the start to keep my Silver for this year.

Yes...its very seldom that you see this type of opportunity for an International Mileage Run. Gotta love it!!

Can we get a second?

Wow! Thanks for the post!

Is there anyway that others (CO) will match?

Thanks!

I hope so - too far to go for 50% EQMs!
