Perhaps you have waited too long! The price is a little higher now at $476 RT for SEA-SZX found on google flight: ($42 higher per OW)

There is a reason
I am an expat in Shenzhen I know quite a few IT staff friends have moved to SEA.
Also you might have heard Shenzhen is a huge IT/tech city. (Tencent and Huawei out of many big companies even the company my wife works for is a massive Japanese tech company has its biggest office outside Japan in Shenzhen.)
So connecting with SEA is an idea which has a few massive IT companies also.
Almost all the traffic will be China based and hence the cheap price from SEA as there is not much market from US. Or business travel from SEA to SZX.
Its an okay place to transfer onto a domestic flight as well.
