Will already be at SFO 3 times from Oct-Nov. Trying to make one work. Even at ~500 it's nice.

Just booked my sis and her boyfriend for 330.26 for 6 nights in September.

MRs are avail but they wanted a mini-vacation

...and I thought the $502 I got SFO-HKG (via LAX) for a couple of dates on AA was good! Wish I could use DL MQM...

Are any of these upgradeable with any instrument for a non-elite? Afraid I don't know the SM system anymore. Thank you.

Delta international upgrade certs are called "GUC"'s among Delta folk. They can only be earned by a flyer with Diamond status on Delta. They cannot be sold or transferred, and expire one year after issuance.

They can be used by the cert owner after he loses status. The can also be used on a no-status companion of the cert owner if and only if the companion is on the same exact one-way routing as the cert owner. Does not have to be same PNR.

@Bowgie, thank you. Are there miles and money upgrade options? And while I'm at it, if so, would this fare be too low anyway? Bowgie, you don't have to be the one to answer.

1. No, Delta does not have a money + Skymiles upgrade option.
2. Delta does have a Skymiles upgrade option, but not for the fare class that this deal books to. (requires upgrade availability)
3. Delta sometimes has a discounted "buy-up" to business class at check-in, but it won't be cheap and it's not always offered.
4. You can up-fare to business class, but that kind of defeats the purpose of a mileage run or otherwise flying cheaply.
