AA: ORD-PEK $494(limited) to $504 until mid May 3.5cpm

Google flights, 2 day trips or more, seems available a few different times until May 18th. One I looked at was direct from ORD, connecting through DFW on the way back.

Anyone seeing similar China fares for June or July from any city?

I don't think you can find any fare sales to China during summer.

AA: ORD - PEK RT $493 3.7 cpm

I'm not taking any credit, saw this on TPG:

http://thepointsguy.com/2016/04/deal...round-trip-aa/

Checked on AA and lot of dates available for May and around October/November. I'm pairing this with a cheap NYC - ORD rt for around $200 or less, which makes it around 4.7 CPM, but have to book it separately. Using AA's multi city booking brings the price up to $800+ for some reason.

Edit: Thanks for merging, didn't see this thread originally

You can get around it by doing a side trip to the neighboring countries including Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Does anyone know Visa requirements. It looks like their is a 72 hour no visa rule? I booked 11-14 (depart 5:40pm and land 8:20pm on 11-15) my return flight departs at 10:10am on 11-18. Am I ok without a VISA?

The visa waiver only applies if your flying to a third country (not returning to your origin country). For instance, ORD-PEK(stop over for less than 72 hours)-TPE-PEK(stop over for less than 72 hours)-ORD is valid whereas ORD-PEK(stop over for less than 72 hours)-ORD is invalid.

True but that might possibly (but not necessarily) add time and costs.

I am trying to sift through the threads on AA devaluation. The change will have no impact on EQM accruals, correct? My understanding is the in "the second half of this year" AA will move to the revenue based mileage program. So for an October trip, we do not know what accrual will be on miles but WE KNOW that EQMs will be based on miles flown? Would hate myself doing this trip in coach if I didn't get the EQMs. Thanks!

Correct.

Mileage accrual will be cost of flights and then a multiplier depending on level of status (5x for standard Aadvanage, 7x for gold, 8x for PL, 11x for EXP).

EQM accrual remains the same.

I've used Google Matrix as well as other websites and still can't find ORD-PEK-ORD for under $500.
