Any advice on how to force it? Maybe put extra segment between HNL and GUM?
Hopper departs really early at 07:25. What time are you arriving HNL? That could be the issue.

I actually booked the eastbound hopper, but it was working the other way around when I was looking at it, as long as K class was there

Does the hopper stop by ALL the stops noted? Or is it just a neat plane to fly. Thanks for clarifying the mystique behind it.

Also, any chances I can schedule more than one night in guam or HNL?

It makes all the stops. The itinerary you have on hold is not on the island hopper. There are 2 options for going between GUM and HNL. One option is the island hopper which is on a 737. The other option is the 777 nonstop between GUM and HNL. Detailed information on the island hopper can be found on FT and other blogs.

Hey here is a screen cap of a west bound $505 K fare from LAX with our endeared Island Hopper. I think you have to be lucky to find a day when it is actually cheap. it shows as 4 stops as HNL-GUM(!?)

Thank You,

Can you advise on how I could turn this into an island hopper? I changed it to coming back on Wednesday for GUAM-HNL but only see a 6:35 direct flight that increases the costs quite a bite.

Thanks!

I suggest reading some of this thread more as this has been discussed but, the hopper doesn't operate every day. Force the destinations into a multi-city search the UA site on days it operates. As someone mentioned, the deal has been posted on blogs so it might be dead.

Brilliant find - US city break, a few days of Philippines diving, Island Hopper AND run in one ticked all my boxes but despite being able to price up several combinations sub $600 (excluding my positioning from ZRH!) , could not get any booking past the itinerary summary on the UA site...

Hoping it's a temporary site bug rather than fare gone...

Finally figured out how to get island hopper.
Should be able to use RPU but 1k doesn't seem to be able to. Do segments needs to be separated or so?

I have tried many other combinations, apparently on the way back it is possible to route KUL/SGN sub 600, and many other cities sub 650 in China&SE asia

The cheapest NYC-Southeast Asia-NYC OJ I can find is $485, but I keep thinking there must be something better. No island hopper involved.

Sorry if this is the wrong place but does anyone know how to force Google Flights to show more than 5 legs?

UA/NH: NYC-CGK/MNL OJ $554 2.6cpm

It can be done, requiring you to manipulate the URL of the search. There is a pattern to the URL that you can expand to include additional legs. Start with the basic search you're after and cut/paste the URL into a spreadsheet/notepad/word processor. Edit the URL with the expanded search as well as the flights you want to included. It takes some patience, but can be done.
