International fares are usually not reversible.

I got a similar deal a couple of days ago, flying to Phoenix for Thanksgiving dinner/mileage run. My routing is GRU-LAX-PHX-MIA-GRU but I believe it priced as a roundtrip to LAX with a 15hr PHX layover on the return. Worked pretty amazingly for me... 12,700 EQM for $354 = 2.8 CPM.

Are you physically located in Las Vegas? If so, how did you position to/from Sao Paulo?

I'm flying LAS-GIG/GRU-LAS for $700 on a separate fare and vacationing for 3 weeks for the first time in Brazil. Figured 2 days out of my trip to surprise my family for Thanksgiving + do the mileage run was worth 2 days out of my vacation.

I am also wondering how to do this. My buddy would be flying from LAX so I have to figure out how to route DFW and how to route LAX.

Thank you so much for the help!

Thinking about a mileage run to GRU but all the cheap flights require a nights stay which I will have to leave the airport, must I then get a visa?? Or does everyone just sleep at the airport?

They most probably won't even let you board the flight to GRU.

Correct. You will not be allowed to board a plane with Brazil as your final destination if you don't have a valid visa.

I must say, for those of us based in Sao Paulo this has been a great year for MRs. All year long there have been good fares ex-GRU.
