A3 currently has almost every relation within Europe on sale at ridiculous prices - talk about DUS-SKG-FRA for 41€ (with a forced overnight in SKG). Sadly no miles for this booking-class on UA, but some other programs than A3's might give you a few miles on this (LH 125 miles, OZ 70%). If it would accrue on UA I probably would be tempted to try one of these crazies - you can even do something like DUS-SKG-ATH-SKG-FRA for ~90€.
