AA DTW- PEK $685.40 on the 787
Via Fare Deal Alert, there are flights from DTW to PEK via DFW on the 787 for $685.40 on AA for many dates in October. It comes to about 4.3 cents per mile.

Personally I'd prefer via DFW as it's on the 787 with the new Business Class. As there are fewer seats in business on the 787 and no first class vs the old 777 from ORD with more business seats and first class, your upgrade chances from ORD are better.
