Cost me $752 CAD all in from YEG, but I took the bait and bought it.
Something funky happened with the UA site it let me book: YEG-DEN-SFO-HKG-GUM-HNL-SFO-YEG use upgrade the whole trip for $75 plus 20000 miles haha
Unfortunately the HKG-GUM and GUM-HNL are waitlisted, but who cares the SFO-HKG cleared right away, worth it for me

anyone know how i can build in a stopover in taipei for similar price? i would gladly sit in 747 for that long if i can make a stop in tpe either before HKG or after hkg. looking to depart outbound from lax after 2/9. any help would be much appreciated!

UA LAX-HKG 3.6cpm Jan-Feb various dates
Just booked this flight which goes through HNL qnd GUM both ways. $614.20 with 16,948 miles. Four of these segments are upgradeable with RPU's (which I also did).

Please help me clarify. If I take the NH (Air Japan) flight from HKG-NRT-HNL, I still receive 100% UA mileage credits and also the UA elite bonus miles. The flights are in K class and are code share UA flight numbers. What throws me off is on UA's website it mentions 50% in K if connecting at NRT to/from mainland China. I don't think HKG is mainland China.
