thanks thepaul500

Just wanted to thank you for posting this fare. Doesn't appear too many took you up on this great find, but I did immediately!! I booked twice -- one fare from ATL to LAX RT, then two MRs LAX-DXB. Almost 95,000 skymiles, and 42000 mqms.

Thanks for posting that gem, and keep up the great work!

Found 3.9CPM routing through AMS and NBO...with a stopover in AMS...but Kenya Airways (I don't know anything about that airline) DXB-NBO-AMS....and a 2hr turnaround time in DXB.....damn...I need at least one night to sleep in a horizontal bed...

Still trying to find a good one with stopover in AMS to see an old friend...

All the Kenya fares were nonexistent--I even called in.

Ended up finding one that gives me 7hrs in AMS @ 4.7cpm. Not a bad fare

I just booked a second one with routing through BOS....ended up with 23,242 MQMs for $947 for 4.07CPM.

This one included an overnight in AMS.

LAX-CVG-BOS-ATL-DXB-NBO-AMS-MSP-LAX.

Ok..I think I'm done MRing for the year....lol....I will have 215,000 MQMs by Dec 1 (About 90% from MRs.....).

I know...I need a life....

Search this on DL.dumb using the multi-city. There were many options. But to get a 19hr stopover in AMS you have to fly Kenya Airways DXB-NBO-AMS. I looked it up and you have to get a transit visa for like $20.

I spent literally 14 hours trying to maximize these routes. I am so tired.

LAX-BOS NOV 6
BOS-DXB NOV 7
DXB-AMS NOV 9
AMS-LAX NOV 10

How many days are you spreading your flights over? And what type of price did you end up with? Were you able to keep it under $900? You are most adventurous. Enjoy your trip and let us know how it goes!

Happy Travels! Cheers!

hey cfing1 and xolinlevh

I still have a problem with just doing a true MR, in other words, I like to stay somewhere for at least a day.

So, I booked my LAX-DXB flights in November and, for each trip, will stay one night at the beach--Jumeriah Beach. Then I will stay one night in LAX at the Hilton for $100, and fly out the next day LAX-DXB and do the same thing -- another night at Jumeriah Beach. I am a little disappointed at myself for being too chicken to do a true MR on the second LAX-DXB trip, but...that's me.

BTW, very easy to get around DXB if you've never been. Subway from airport to hotels and back. And...cheap, cheap, cheap subway. Hotels? Not so cheap, but if you have points--good deals.

And November is a fantastic time to go-- great weather.

Yes, fares were under $900, but have changed some since, but still doable.

And what have I done since those last bookings? Y'day booked EWR-ICN in September for $920, 14272 mqms; and today: LAX-NRT-HKG-SEA-MSP-LAX Oct 9-13 $692, 16702 mqms!! And of course...hotel points. ICN a bit higher, but I haven't been there for a while so want to do it.

Good luck!
