Saw a pretty good end-on-end combo from IAH to Beijing (PEK). Not seeing a lot of availability left for it, but... here it is.

KJX03EM5 fare basis is where mileage runners can go to town -- two stopovers, $100 each. I was able to add in Hong Kong (HKG) for about $130 after landing fees. Even without being creative on the route, the CPM comes in well under 5.0.

Note: I wasn't able to price NRT as a stopover (to my surprise) without it killing KJX03EM5... Doing so would give me fare basis code: KJEQZEM5 -- which allowed me to do Tokyo, Beijing, and Hong Kong as stopovers (for about $1030 all in)...

FYI: If you're just trying to get to Beijing -- you can get there for about $670 from IAH if you let American fly you from Houston to Dallas and United on KJX03EM5...

The title is a little bit misleading... this is actually a DFW-PEK fare filed by United. ITA is showing $608 round trips. Same fare is offered MIA-PEK, so UA is yelling at AA for some reason.

8/21 - 11/30 validity, 3 day minimum, 3 month maximum.

As for the title being misleading -- "IAH - Beijing (PEK) (via DFW)" seems to convey exactly what you just said so I'm not sure how the title is wrong.

In my opinion, the title conveys exactly what is going on (from an IAH perspective), which is that you could do an end-on-end with KAA21AKN and KJX03EM5 to get from IAH - DFW - ORD - PEK and back, which is probably important information to anyone that is a hub-captive to IAH, like me.

The cheaper fare basis code "KJX03EM5" is no longer available, next best is "KJEQZEM5" at $877, still not bad.

Try October 29th - November 5th.
