UA: SEA-HKG $863rt in V (GPU can be applied!)

Found this lovely and booked it today... GPU'able too.

Sample dates are 2/1-11, so perhaps not a true MR but still a great value.

looks like it's available until the end of March at that price.

it doesn't actually have a 10 day minimum stay. i see two day trips departing every Monday and Tuesday in March. weekends $50-100 higher.

7592 miles one way.

Good stuff. 8,270 miles one way with the current UA double miles offer for bookings through 12/31 since it's in V and includes SEA-SFO legs. Folks in LA or SF might be able to nest into a LAX/SFO-SEA trip in S or above to maximize RDMs under that promo. Bostonians don't need to worry about finding a good trip to nest into ;-)

Here's an even better value at $682 for 15,212 miles or 4.48cpm if you wanna spend 2+ nights in Hong Kong. Here's a sample weekend trip itinerary:

Thu, Feb 20
UA 317, SEA 09:29 - 11:43 SFO
UA 869, SFO 13:25 - 20:05+1 HKG

Mon, Feb 24
UA 862, HKG 12:30 - 08:15 SFO
UA 322, SFO 11:05 - 13:15 SEA

Yes, lower fare class is cheaper.

The W/V fare (needed for a GPU upgrade) is often $1500 on this route, hence the post of the cheap fare.

Wow - Haven't seen such a good fare to HK in awhile.

Hey I'm new here to this forum which my friend referred to me. Just wondering how do I book a flight for the post you posted or any flight deal that I find?

Depends. Most non-mistake and non-tricked fares can be booked via the airline's website.

Once you get into learning about mistake and tricked fares, you'll learn more

Will happily spring for the extra $181 to use a GPU :-)

Combined with good availability of app. $280 RT fares TPA-SEA in that timeframe it's a winner for me if I can marry up fares/dates.

Thanks for the great find!

I found a flight from DEN on the same dates:

Thu, Feb 20
UA 1268, DEN 08:11 - 10:05 SEA
UA 9669, SEA 12:05 - 15:45+1 NRT (on ANA 787)
UA 9727, NRT 18:25 - 22:35 HKG

Mon, Feb 24
UA 862, HKG 12:30 - 08:15 SFO
UA 322, SFO 11:05 - 13:15 SEA
UA 1106, SEA 15:06 - 18:35 DEN

$682 for 16,236 miles. Interesting that it chose to route me through NRT with ANA instead of SFO on the way there.

Thanks for the post.

Terrific find- thanks for posting! Never seen a SWUable fare so low, especially to HKG.
