DL/AA: MCI-LAX $181ai (Q/T Fare, 3.4-4.2cpm)
First and foremost, credit is due to Bachovas for posting the AA fare in 'Good Deals'. I was researching fares and found that DL is matching, and offers better routing. So, as far as I'm concerned, OP credit goes there.
$138++ base fare available from both AA and DL at the moment, total $181ai MCI-...-LAX

Still Good on Delta!
There is a same-day turnaround on Sunday, Feb 19, departing at 6am from LAX:
LAX-ATL-MCI-ATL-LAX at $181 for about 5600 miles.
The key is to search by schedule and pick flight DL 1007 both arriving and leaving from MCI (probably the same airplane).
Personally, it's too early in the year for me to be doing this airport-only flying.

Not sure if still available BUT
I took advantage of this MCI-LAX (on AA). Between two MRs (via ORD sucks, BTW), a mileage multiplier deal and a CA address, ended up with almost 20k miles (about 16k EQ) for $540. Can't complain.
Also completed my PLT Challenge there towards the end.

I'm not finding any fares on AA trying MKC to STL to LAX.. (as the routing rules suggested) Perhaps a legacy TWA item when MCI-STL was a direct route?
