What to do for 18 hours in Doha with kids?

Hi, we have an 18 hour layover in Doha. Probably going to stay at St. Regis. Any thoughts on activities to do with kids? (Other than hang out at the pool, which is always a winner in our family). Our son is 9 years old. He loves sports and wildlife. Museums a harder sell. Shopping a non-starter.

If he loves wildlife, you should plan to visit 'Doha Zoo'. It is 30 minutes away from the city centre. But you need to confirm with them that whether it is open or not. Because, the construction work was in progress before one and half year ago.

You can contact them via +974 4468 2610.
