7 hour layover in AUH
The wife and I have a 7 hour layover in AUH (JFK-AUH-PVG) in early July. Arrive 11am, depart 6pm. Traveling First/Business (and am OW Emerald) so assume I'll have lounge access.
Is it worth heading out of the airport? Enough time to see anything interesting? Never been to UAE. Advice?
Thanks

Yes! Head over to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque (10-15 mins from the airport) and then have lunch on Yas Island overlooking the Grand Prix track.

Thanks for the suggestions. I just switched flights and now have a 9 hr layover. Is there any reason to consider hiring a car to spend a couple hours in Dubai? Or is it crazy to do that? Just thinking this is a one-time chance...

It could be done - it takes about an hour or so to get up to Dubai but could take much longer during rush hour. Plenty of things to do/see as well as some amazing restaurants. It all comes down to if you want to spend 2-3 hours in a car during your layover.
