Why only points+cash stays showing up for London?

I am starting to look at hotels for a trip to London next summer, but I can only find points+cash showing up in London proper hotels. Is this normal for Marriott? The first hotel that is points only is 14 miles away, obviously not what I want.

On a seperate note, do Platinum members get point discounts? I know at Hilton Diamond members get a discount.

TT

Are you looking for more than a single bed if so that is your answer.

Ah, this is a similar issue with Hilton. If I put down 3 ppl in the room it shows almost no availability, so I always put 2 and call the hotel about a roll away or sleeper sofa in the room.

Not that I'm aware. At times there are points saver awards available for certain properties, but those are available to everyone & not based on status.

Cheers.

I have been an LT Plat for 10 + years, and have never gotten a point discount when redeeming points. Oft times, however, you can get a free fifth night when booking four consecutive nights. I did this at the GH in London earlier this year.

My suggestion would be to keep checking and since you aren't seeking a specific property, something in your preferred area might open up for you.

Did you mean to say 40K/night? Kensington is a Cat 8 & 40K/night is normal points redemption.

Here's the list of hotel categories & points required, both regular & points savers.

Cheers.
