Umm... did you actually read the OPs bold comment, which says:
I'm assuming that you since you list "ORD" as your location, you reside in the US.

definitely targeted, might I inquire about how many nights you had this year? I doubt they ever open something like this up to the US, but it would be great especially if it counted toward lifetime status.

SPG has a very targeted double nights/stays offer, but it's of more limited duration. AFAIK there's no restriction on country of residence.

How strange, I'm at 63 nights this year, so it's not as if I'm going to have any issues re-qualifying for Platinum
As you said, fingers crossed that it counts towards lifetime status
