what happens to your rewards when you die?
Do they transfer to your spouse? Or do you just loose them?

I am not sure how Marriott will know one has pass away. So I guess if your spouse have access to your online account, spouse can keep redeeming the points.

When my father passed away - over 16 years ago - not only was he a MR member, but he and my mother were actually supposed to be on an awards trip on what turned out to be the day of his funeral.
Marriott refunded the points, no problem. We provided Marriott with a copy of the death certificate, and my mom was able to take over the points.

Can the leftover points be trasferred via a Will to a family member, or transferred in a Trust?

I would assume if hell and heaven exist that the former is the fun place to be. After all there is no free will in heaven.

I suppose this is the thread for jokes about receiving your "just reward"?

Why bother trying to transfer them? Just log into the account and use them.

Does anyone know if lifetime status would also transfer? If it doesn't then I'll make sure my wife just pretends that I'm still alive.
