New MR Visa promo

Heads up-watch your mail

I just received a targeted promo-spend $1250 per month in April,May and June to receive a free night cat 4 certificate.

I can probably do this easily with just my Marriott stays.

Got it too. Requirements are much less draconian than last years promo!

Have been reading numerous "targeted" promo's such as this via Marriott and Chase and have yet to get one even though I am PP and usually average 25-30K annual spend on the MR Visa.

That would be why. The targeted promos are an attempt by Chase to get new spending on their cards. There's no reason for them to offer these promos to people who are already routinely meeting the requirements of the promo.

I actually prefer the last promo-free night for 10 transactions per month for 3 months. Much less spending was required.

I got my card several months ago and did a 3K purchase for the initial bonus, and haven't spent a penny on it since. I have not received an offer for anything as of yet.

Do you usually get these promos in the mail or trhough email? My husband rarely uses his Marriott Visa, and he's never received a promo.

Crazy....I have put 9k on my card this year and they want me to spend 3,250 per month for three months (Apr, May, June) for a Cat 4 Weekend stay. Better than nothing, but I am not going to put that much on my card so I guess I don't get it....while others can spend far less and get the same deal.

Pretty clear they are basing the reward on spend history.

There seem to be many levels of this promo - I received an offer today by US Mail for 1 free night at a cat 1-4 Marriott for $1750 spend on the credit card in April, May, and June.

Just to be clear....mine was for a weekend stay....2 nights. Still, think that spending $9k is quite a lot to ask....but then again, they didn't have to have an offer at all so I guess I should be grateful.

Doesn't appear you need to register for this offer - unless I missed some small print.
