Out of curiosity I will go spend a night there tomorrow. Paid 90 USD with breakfast included. It's just around the corner from Marriott Panama.

Will get back with comments.

Unfortunately I had a massive work load coming in on Monday evening, so I stayed in my room to work in stead of venturing around the hotel.

Anyway, I will share a few bullet points:

I would say neither. Definitely not the American perception of breakfast.

From top of my mind it had a lot of Spanish items (serrano ham, variety of cheeses such as manchego, goat cheese, tortillas, vegetable pies), croissants and bread station (with butter, jams, nutella etc).

Not a bacon and egg type breakfast buffet, if you know what I mean.

I was there last week end. I found it to be a good value, but nothing special.

I do not believe it really is operating at Marriott standards, but perhaps it is teething issues. The pool bar did not seem it was used as anything more than a greenhouse for the plants and there was redic construction noise from the room above at 7am on Sunday morning. The front desk seemed unclear on status upgrades. But given it was only a week end I didn't protest.

The breakfast was good. As noted above more Euro than American in style. But I prefer that to bacon and soggy eggs anyway.

Just to inform that plats are given free breakfast here. Spent a night this week and was specificly told that breakfast wasn't included in my rate, but I had free access being MR plat.

Thanks for the update. I'll add it to the exec lounge sticky.

                Cheers.

Just noticing that this is listed as a category 4 hotel, while the far more luxorious FS Marriott and the super fancy Sortis (Autograph Collection) are rated category 3. Makes zero sense! Keep in mind if you want to redeem points in Panama City.

Is this hotel frequented by the prostitutes? They're all over the Sortis because it has a casino, but also because prostitution is legal in Panama.

Despite its close proximity to some of the more famous hang out spots for prostitutes, it is not my impression that this property is "haunted" in the same way as the FS Marriott (right across the street from the most common pick.up spot) or the Casino in Sortis.
