Easy questions from a Marriott newbie

Couple of quick questions: How would Marriott count a 2-night stay at a Courtyard in dt Minneapolis - as 2 nights or 1 stay for the "Stay 3 nights & get 2 free weekend nights" promo that they had on their site? I seem to remember an earlier post where someone stated that Marriott only counts nights, not stays...but can't find that post now.

Also, can anyone tell me when to expect the 10,000 bonus points for signing up with the Marriott Rewards VISA card? I signed up back in October & had my first purchase back in late October & bonus points still haven't posted. And I've had no luck trying to get a live person on the Rewards line.

Straight from the MC website:

Earn 2 free weekend nights PLUS Silver elite status in Marriott Rewards when you make three paid stays at any of more than 2,300 Marriott hotels (10 brands) from October 14, 2002 through January 31, 2003!

So your 2 night STAY is 1 paid STAY towards the 3 paid STAY requirement. Number of NIGHTS makes no difference.

Not sure where I'm going, but I'm getting there fast.
