If you don't stop bashing New York, I'm going to see if Rudy has a moment in his busy schedule of arresting homeless people and making speeches in Buffalo to give you an overnight stay (with no upgrade) at 110 Centre Street.

By the way, local calls are free, but you only get to make one.

I can highly recommend 110 Centre
Street as the place to stay in
downtown Manhattan.Walking distance
to Chinatown (after your stay) But
the room service sucks. And there
was no platinum kit with all the
goodies when I arrived. And yes I am
a member of there frequent stay
program. The exercise facilities are
minimal...BTW Rudy G. comes around
personally and puts chocolates on
your pillows.(Turn down service)
Special long term rates I
hear.Special transportation (VIP) to
Rikers (an exclusive club).Conceirge
level BTW is under renovation. And
the front desk ALWAYS remembers my
face and name.. They are sooo nice!
Highly recommend it for NY bashers
and you out of towners. Have a nice
stay in the big apple! BTW Unlike the earlier poster.. I don't apologize for being harsh /direct.. That's the way I am. If yuse don't like it. FORGETABOUTIT!WHATEVER! : )

Mike Mahoney

I have stayed at the the Los Angeles Downtown Marriott Conciege Level.12th or 14th Floor with a spectacular view of the downtown area.. Most ENJOYABLE and very nice Marriott people.Very helpful with directions (wanted to go to Japan part of city??Had excellent sushi at a restraunt there called the Flying Fish BTW. That I remember..) I wanted to walk. Walk... They laughed. EVERYBODY drives in L.A. More than ample snacks in Conceriege level.I love that Marriott in DT L.A. hotel.Particularly the floor to ceiling windows..

P.S. Some people need a better sense of humor BTW.A JOKE IS A JOKE. Lighten up on the critiques of MY posts! I DO understand others point of view. Please respect mine.

Mike Mahoney

Long beach Marriott has excellent lounge, friendly staff and great food.

BTW, does the Marriott in Paris has a lounge?

I like the lounge in Tuscon. The weekend concierge is a retired teacher who knows every nook and cranny of the town and is more than anxious to share his knowledge and to help the visitor get around. That's right, it's open on the weekend.

Mike: The restaurant where you had sushi in LA is actually named Frying Fish (with the R written backwards - a "joke" by the japanese owners on the claimed mispronunciation of "l" as "r") - and they have a conveyer belt, running around the sushi bar. I only live 50 miles from there, but I stay at that hotel whenever I have early morning business in LA, and I often eat at Frying Fish.

I like the lounge in the NY Marquis (a hotel that many love to hate). It has a great view and, some years, great food.

Yes, the NY Marquis does have great food -- much better than any other domestic hotel.

Frankfurt Germany has a terrific lounge, also with very good food.

No more New Yorker jokes -- I promise!

My vote goes to the Marriott Rivercenter in Covington, KY(Cincinnati). The staff is excellent, the food great and the view from the top of the hotel is nice. The folks who work there are never to busy to help and make you more comfortable.

I am at the Seattle Airport Marriott -- and their concierge lounge is open on the weekend. Again, this puts it at the top of my list.

Open from 9am-10:30pm everyday, and has fresh baked cookies, ymm ymm,

I also second for Marriott Hong Kong. The Exec Lounge is spacious, harbor view is one of a kind, and the service is excellent.

Well, you took a while to let us know how you felt. But poor mauifirstclass; nobody ever answered his question, and now, I'll bet, his trip to Chicago is over.
